Anyone having problems accessing the site?
Anyone having problems accessing the site?
Keep getting a message something like 'The resources for this webpage have been exceeded' or something like that on a blue screen. Don't know if the problem is my end or the other.
Regards, Dave.
Re: Anyone having problems accessing the site?
Rest assured its not you. Paul and Lee are putting a few more pennies in the meter to sort the problem.

Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.
Re: Anyone having problems accessing the site?
I've been having some trouble getting the pages to come up for the last week or so it's been taking a absolute age before I can see a complete page. It's like it's downloading at a snails pace. I get it started and then go surfing for a while then come back to it. It will download the board page quick then as I go to progress and access a individual thread it gets a case or go slow and it's only on this site I don't have any issues with other sites in the UK or USA.
No doubt I'm the only odd bod who's experiencing this problem.

Re: Anyone having problems accessing the site?
Having not been on the site for several weeks I've been trying to catch up and so viewed quite a few pages the last day or so, no problems thus far.
My completed efforts are here viewtopic.php?t=29294
Re: Anyone having problems accessing the site?
Aside from some really photo-heavy threads taking a while to load up I've not seen any problems
If you notice any particular threads causing the problem let me know and I'll see how it looks from here though.
@bfrd have you seen any loading issues?

Re: Anyone having problems accessing the site?
It was good this morning for about 10 minutes then it has gone a slow as watching paint dry again and it's not limited to photo heavy pages either. Just up loading or down loading a few words of text is problematic too. Again other sites don't seem to be effected.

Re: Anyone having problems accessing the site?
Not had much problem here. Occasionally I get a weird message saying "link broken" accessing the site but hitting the refresh function usually clears that. Like wise image sometines just show place holders but again hitting refresh once or twice is the answer.

Slow to load the Unread Posts in either a new tab or new window. Takes well over 2-3 minutes most times. Started about a week or two ago.

Re: Anyone having problems accessing the site?
Mine seems to work fine, though I do have to login twice a lot of the time.
Re: Anyone having problems accessing the site?
I'm still having a issue getting into the site.
This is what happens or a get a blank screen for 3-5min then it opens.

I would suspect all of those things except it only occurs on this one site so to my wonky way of thinking it rules out those other problem areas.Twokidsnosleep wrote: ↑Tue Jan 09, 2024 5:37 am No troubles from the Canadian Mac boy fan end of things the last two weeks been fine

Re: Anyone having problems accessing the site?
Not had any problems here beyond the site "forgetting" who I am a while ago so I had to log back in again (not an issue months apart but every day for a week??).
That's not been an issue for a while though.

Re: Anyone having problems accessing the site?
I do not see anything glaringly wrong with the site. It is a little weighty but not overly so. If possible, I will try to spend some time in the coming weeks to slim down some of the scripts. Your browser almost exclusively controls the site forgetting your login information and how often it clears its cookies. I don't think I can do anything from a server perspective for that.

I went and did that.....had to google it first
The splash page came up this morning quick as, but then the login took minutes. Once I had logged in the next page was fast.
It's driving me nuts....well more so than normal.
