Evening all & Happy New Year

My final build for 2022 is Eduard's 1/48 Saab J35F Draken.

It's a decent kit with one or two fit issues & some vague instructions, but the only real gripe is the overly thick decals.

Painting was my usual mix of Ultimate Primers and Vallejo Model Air - weathering has been kept to just a quick panel line wash.

Trumpeter D-30 Howitzer. A straight forwards, if fiddly, kit. Be warned - if you follow the instructions the sights go on upside down!!
This is one of two - the other one is built in the firing position and is a work in progress still as it will form a diorama with gun crew and sand bags.
This one is destined to be hooked onto the back of a Ural 375D - also a work in progress.
Paints used were a mix of Vallejo and Tamiya.

    Greetings Roland and his groupies!
Here is a scratchbuilt original design for my company's Christmas Ornament Decorating Charity Auction benefiting a local childrens hospital.
Starting with the supplied 3 inch diameter clear styrene blank ornament, I used Bondo and sheet styrene, side panels are vacuum formed styrene trimmed in solder. Holographic paper was placed behind the engine grill, and the Chrysler logo is a casting I made from the 1/24 Lindberg Atlantic Coupe. Arms were made from plastic bracelet material placed over posable armature wire. Orange 'eyes' made from clear casting resin. Custom mix acrylic paint, Alclad metallics and pastel powder for weathering.
And there you have it.. "the Chrysler 4700 Death Droid/Nanny Bot with optional heat ray. Delicate enough to warm baby formula, yet powerful enough to slice the moon in half!"
So how did it do in the auction? That doesn't really matter.. it's all about the kids, right?... oh who am I kidding, I crushed the competition!
