I knew that would be TC's after seeing the ferrari. Should be a cool model...

You'll have to do a proper TC figure.

Yes, thankfully all straight lines
I have used some Frisket masking before and it seems to help cover but not tear off. Yellow first and mask lines carefully over.
A good primer layer is important, might go with lacquer based one and get some grip

Magnum and TC printed out in 1/24 scale 75mm or 3”. Reference from the Stig figure
Angled to reduce print time that was still 8hrs. Translucent green resin as that is what I have.
The chopper is 1/48 scale, a bit small to print out for these poses

Bit of chopper progress
Textured tc’s shirt with tissue and pva glue
Will detail paint him this weekend and get the cockpit buttoned up and the fuselage cemented together

Yae, your back at the bench
I think I should have used your pva and tissue method for my Arado as my water cracked up.
Figures printed fine, you must be getting the hang of it now. :D

Moving back to this for a bit
I got the cockpit done and then all taped up so could prime her

Image

Image

I made an exhaust port for her ummmm bumal area?
Brass tube with a copper flange, soldered and then burnished to fit in there.

Image

Will likely use some metal for the rotor details too
These Three Amigo’s will do the body colour

I keep getting drawn to battleships and aircraft carriers, but in the end I remind myself of the scale, pe railings and the cost to make it the way I would like. Then back away slowly.

Chopper got taped and first layer of paint!
Tamiya XF-3 Yellow as the base colour coat
This should let all the colours pop

Image

It also makes a hell of a mess in the spray booth, so I have delayed my filter change and overhaul of said booth

Making some more brass accoutrements for the chopper
Rotor connections modified to brass
I need some more forward weight so she isn’t a tail sitter. I have a lead x ray film in there as well as the brass
