Post by Stokesy44 »

Rye Field Models 1/35 British Sherman Firefly

Hi All, reveal pics for my Firefly. Primed in Ultimate Black with a white shadow coat. Painted with Tamiya Olive Drab, AK Ultra Matt after decals, weathered with oils then Aqua Gloss before a Ultimate Dark Dirt Wash and a final matt coat. Dry pigments by Vallejo.

Thanks Guys. As mentioned previously I'd highly recommend the kit. For me, RFM kits are superb. Great engineering, they're just the right side of being too detailed and they are really well priced (IMHO) for what you get in the box. For example you can get a Tiger 1 with a full interior for the same price as a Dragon Stug III.
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

very good use of the modulation Stokesy and its the weathering that ties it all together without overdoing it and hiding the modulation : :
