Ya it has a weird shape I suppose.barryf1fan wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 4:26 amI'm trying to do the front fender as well, Scott. Frustrating!! Have ripped it off twice and then another didn't even get the brush out as it was just completely wrong.Twokidsnosleep wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 4:03 pm Thanks everybody for looking and comments![]()
I got some carbon fiber done last night after work
1/12 Scale Motorsports weave, nice stuff.
Usually a dream to work with; warm water, Ultimate decal solutions and a hairdryer usually conform everything. These shapes are difficult to deal with.
Usually I can find a spot to do a seam, but tried both fender surfaces as one piece...meh got folds. Tried both twice.
Not happy with them yet so no photos. I may have to just deal with a couple wrinkles and move on![]()

I'm definitely learning how to NOT do it.

The back fender went down a bit easier than the front.Absolute bugger.
I have tweaked my back this afternoon at work and haven’t gone to the model room to see how it finished off.
Personally for my tastes, I consider my 1/12 CF a bit too ‘course’ for this bike....in future I would use a 1/20 scale as I like a finer look to my CF. Personal taste
