Hello Paul,

First of all thank you very much for all the effort you have put into these videos!! Very helpful and easy to follow and understand!!

I have one question regarding the last video. I put a coat of Future/Klear, waited around 24 hs to dry and then tried a wash on one of the aircraft wings.
I let it dry for about 1-2 hs and then proceeded to remove it with a wet paper towel.

I wasn't able to remove the excess paint...I had to use dry paint solvent to remove it which, of course, didn't even kept the wash on panel lines.

What could I have done wrong? Can you think of something? (Klear coat too thick? Too much dry time for the wash?)

Thank you very much for your help again!!

Cheers.

Thank you both so much for the website and the tutorials. It is all fantastic. Since just getting back into Modelling a year ago to fill the void of lol the children being out of the house. This has been a god send for me to recover

Great job guys I will be visiting the site more often and listening to the monthly news video.

Hi Paul, everyone...
Getting back into the hobby after a long absence, wish these video's were around when I was younger! Absolutely fantastic effort, they might seem a bit basic for some people, but your experience and knowledge is much appreciated keep up the good work - nice work on the 109 by the way....

Just to say as well that these videos were by far the best I found on the Internet and are what led me to sign up here, I've now ordered a Messerschmitt on the basis of them, although it's not exactly the one in the video but I'm guessing it's just an updated version of it :thumb2:

Must agree, they are great and importantly.... free! I think if you have knowledge/experience pay it forward by sharing that knowledge. Paul and the folks at ISM have a real passion and enthusiasm for the hobby. Some get a little intimidated by watching advanced modelers; I include myself, we get to scared that if we attempt the techniques we'll be judged unkindly or just screw it up. Don't feel this way with these tutorials or the on the bench series, inspires me to give it go.... there are no failures... just valiant attempts at learning!

This was a fantastic series ... I am getting back into this after being away for 30 years and thought I’d see if there were videos on current techniques and products. This was incredibly instructive and I watched the series straight through... it’s got me so fired up to be back into modeling...it also led to a an Amazon order of around $150 US to stock up on supplies i didn’t know I needed!

Thank you all! I am building a Revel 1:48 B-25 that I had squirreled away that’s fighting me at every turn ... I’m sure it’ll turn out shitty but I’ll post pics of the finished model for critiques when I’m done.

Cheers!

Even if you don't finish the series wouldn't it still be a good resource to still have available. I never watched them yet if I was going to start another aircraft build I would have.
