Right on to the camo
All masked up ready for the first colour which i will use Akah dark earth bs450

Image

Image

Image

Image

That was left to dry over night has i will be masking over this
Time for the second colour firstly i defined the lines with some thin tape

Image

Then masked off the infills with some standard masking tape

Image

I will carry on this way untill it is all masked

Image

Masking complete and painted with Akah dark green bs641

Image

Image

Once it has dried i'll take off the masking apart from on the canopy and the side windows untill it has been clear coated and decaled

The masking is off and some of the brown paint came away in some small places but i'll call it chipping lol.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

This was then clear coated in a 50/50 mix of tamiya x22 and mr leveling thinner and once that had cured i added the decals.
Some of them did crumple a little but i'll call it battle damage from the bombing run

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Once the decals were dry it was given another clear coat has before.

While that was drying i added a thin coat of vajello air russian green over the base water area for a little tonal variation when that is dry i'll move on to the dam.

Image

Image

So the finish line is in sight i need to work out how i'm going to mount the bomb and plane over the base I have some clear plastic rod i will probably use for this.
In the meantime thanks for taking a look and for commenting.

Elegant camo masking, I am going to try that method :thumb2:

You can overcome the decals....paint if you have to
Too close to finishing to panic, you got this!!!

So here we are the home straight
I have added the rear gunners canopy along with the front bubble

Image

Image

Also given it a Ultimate dark dirt wash but i'm mot sure it shows up too well in the pics

Image

Image

While that was drying i repainted the dam walls in Ultimate grey primer and then defined the stonework joints using a.mig blue black panel line wash

Image

Image

Image

Image

A small hole was drilled in the bomb and in the base then some fine wire was glued into the bomb and then positioned on the base

Image

Image

After that the same was done to the plane except with a larger hole to fit the clear plastic ro

Image

This was then glued to the base and i'm calling it finished.

There we are i will post some pics in the reveal section
Thanks for taking a look and for all your comments.
