I have the venerable old Tamiya Mossie in 1/48 to butcher and put glue prints on.

given it's age I was impressed with the fit so far and details. I was expecting it to be a little coarse and muted.
I didn't say I was going to build it wellMylightweight wrote: ↑Tue May 01, 2018 6:43 pm I built this when I returned to the hobby a few years ago, it builds well, looking forward to seeing it built
Thanks guys... no pressure.Kevthemodeller wrote: ↑Wed May 02, 2018 11:08 pm Fell in love with these aircraft after watching 633 sqn, good choice mate, best of luck![]()

They had the nincompoops all right...especially at the top of their ranksStokesy44 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 14, 2018 2:45 pm Looking good, those Tamiya 1/48 Mossies are cracking little kits.![]()
Thought I'd post this comment from a certain Hermann Goering re the Mossie. One of the few things the appalling man said that was anywhere near true!
"It makes me furious when I see the Mosquito. I turn green and yellow with envy. The British, who can afford aluminium better than we can, knock together a beautiful wooden aircraft that every piano factory over there is building, and they give it a speed which they have now increased yet again. What do you make of that? There is nothing the British do not have. They have the geniuses and we have the nincompoops. After the war is over I'm going to buy a British radio set - then at least I'll own something that has always worked."

I might still stick a screw in it and close the door fast.alextheblue wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 7:44 am Love the mossie and you're doing it proud!![]()
Sorry to hear about your compressor, what a pain!it should be alright to use, it's just the tank won't fill, so you'll have to watch for it overheating. Hope you get it sorted.
Same here!Kevthemodeller wrote: ↑Wed May 02, 2018 11:08 pm Fell in love with these aircraft after watching 633 sqn, good choice mate, best of luck![]()
Oh no, I would blast you if you needed blasting
Follow the instructions and you won't have any issues. I built the cockpit in 2 halves and then glued the rear piece into one fuselage piece, but to far forward ( I didn't follow the instructions or understand properly
thanks Alex, but you know what they say about experts " Just another drip under pressure "alextheblue wrote: ↑Fri Jun 22, 2018 12:05 pm Ohhhh, don't you just hate it when that happens! You're pottering away nicely, pleased with your progress, when from nowhere you are hit by the Law according to Sod!!
Glad you didn't toss it as you'll expertly rectify that little hiccup and it will once again shine with all that model-ly goodness!!![]()

Ok thanks mate - but what is this "follow the instructions" thing that you speak of???digger303 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 22, 2018 11:31 amFollow the instructions and you won't have any issues. BUT the wing supports were hanging out in space instead of passing through the fuselage. Really stupid !
If I were to say anything and I don't know for sure , but the rear bulk head maybe a little large and need a small trim.
It's the napkin I use to catch paint spills , quiet a surprise when I realized they want you to follow a planTomcat64 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 23, 2018 11:41 amOk thanks mate - but what is this "follow the instructions" thing that you speak of???digger303 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 22, 2018 11:31 amFollow the instructions and you won't have any issues.
