Bomber Build- A Non ISM Special Interest Group
Welcome to the Big Beautiful Busty Bomber Build
This is a non-ISM Special Interest Group build sponsored by myself and Stokesy44 with help from Fridgy and Tomcat64
Run time is May1st to August 31st 2018
Typical ISM rules and regulations apply:
Any bomber kit, any scale, any era WWI to Modern. All manufacturers are ok
Our only requirement is that the subject MUST HAVE BOMB BAY DOORS......how simple is that!!??
Please use a third party photo hosting site like Flickr for your pictures....PM me if you need help and we will get you sorted out
New unstarted kit, aftermarket is A-ok, scratch building-all good, enter as many as you like-sure give ‘er
All entries must have a build thread in this SiG forum area for the entry to be valid, I have been giving out Captain #ers to allow draws for door prizes. Please post your # in your thread to help me keep track of everyone.
In your build thread, show us a photo of the box art and sprues to see that it is new and unstarted and any info about the kit and your interest and connection to it.
Then build away and show us the progression of your build through photos, description and interpretive dance
Bonus points for memes. I am writing silly stuff as people usually tune out by now.
No matter skill level or experience, we want to see that you've enjoyed the journey to the end result, no matter how it's turned out and most importantly, that you've had FUN getting there.....I stole that from Lysus
it is kind of sappy and the grammar is questionable but the message is correct.
For the final reveal, you open a new reveal thread and provide a minimum of three still photographs as part of your final reveal.
If you're not sure of anything regarding the guidelines or the build in general, then please PM me for help.
If you need further assistance, Stokesy44, Fridgy and Tomcat64 on the forum are helping as well so we cover more time zones
Duration: 4 months (16 weeks)
Start date: Tuesday 1st May, 2018
Finish date: Friday August 31st, 2018 at midnight GMT
Prizes
There will be 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes as well as two random random door prize draws for participants who start up a build thread
1st Prize: A CHOICE between ONE of the two 1/32 Wing Nut Wing kits...Sopwith PUP RFC OR Sopwith Snipe Early
2nd Prize: 1/32 FLY Hurricane donated by Stokesy44
3rd Prize: Eduard 1/48 Fw190 also donated by Stokesy44
Two random number drawn door prizes will be drawn for participants who start out building
Door Prizes TBA and timing of those draws depends on how many build threads we get going...50 have signed up, so likely at the halfway point
Everyone with a captain # is eligible for the door prizes except me
but that is ok
I ditched the nose art idea as they are often very, ahh, racy
and we don’t want to overdo our welcome here in Paul and Lee’s house on ISM
Focus is on having fun rather than prizes, so let’s do just that; post lots, interact and have a good time
Cheers all
