Love it, so glad to see you posted some pics. some fine weathering and shading. She is big in 1/48
How was the Fine Moulds as a kit???
I have made the Bandai X Wing and it self assembled, my next X Wing would be the 1/72 Fine Moulds

Thanks mate.

It went together really well. I know the Bandai offerings are virtually snap-fix but the engineering on this thing was superb, particularly the wing mechanism. Rock solid once it was screwed into place - it also locked the upper and lower fuselage halves together and you would have needed TNT to shift it. I think I used a tiny bit of filler in a couple of places but that was it. Cant say anything bad about it at all.

Another fine build - you've had a great year at the bench mate!

I've got one of these in my "kits I didn't buy in 2017, honest" stash - maybe we should suggest an Exceptional X-Wings vs Terrible Tie Fighters build for next year.
Cheers, Neil

Thanks mate, I just wish I'd spent less time thinking about the bench and more time being at it

Exceptional X-Wings vs Terrible Tie Fighters build? - Awesome idea and there goes my 'No buying kits in 2018' rule, BUT.....

Ooh not necessarily... we should know the votes by the end of this year which means you should be able to at least order the necessary stash before the end of December thereby seeing your "No More Kits in 2018" resolution last until well into January with any luck!

Who would be so foolish to say "no kits this year"? What rube, what moron... :shifty:

Excellent build, sir. I do wonder why Bandai couldn't throw some kits out at 1/48, but this one looks pretty on par with the 1/72s. Maybe that's just your skill showing :th:
