My Choice is this Figure in Resin and White metal from Andrea Miniatures in 90 mm , 'Mameluke Officer , 1808 '

The figure depicts the legendary Chef d'escadron François Antoine Kirman .He was born in 1768 , was appointed captain of the regiment de Chasseurs a cheval in 1807 and Chef D'escadron of the same regiment in 1808 , at this point he command the Mamelukes that fought in Prussia in 1809 and Spain in 1810 .
This very colourfull cavalry unit was originated with the company of mounted Janissaries from Syria raised by Major Kleber in 1799 , this unit evolve during the consulate and Empire , becoming the 10th Sqdn of the Chasseurs à Cheval from the Imperial Guard , in 1813 .
In this figure , and not very usual in figures (actually the 90 mm size figures came with this , not the smaller ones and busts...) we get a booklet ...

A 'list' of all parts ...a lot of them ...

Assembly images ...

small text with the history of the figure

All Andrea figures has a quality sticker , usefull if you want to request new parts or damaged ones , and a small leaflet with some basic painting instructions , not specific to the figure but an overall tips on how to do figure painting

and a view of the pieces all come win a very protective card box and foam that kept everything in perfect shape

so now a lot of work cleaning the pieces , most of them in white metal , only the figure bust of the officer being in resin , this permits that the piece do not get heavy ...after cleaning filling the seams and prime it to start painting ...not an easy figure as I also must study it to see what I can assemble and how I gonna paint it , the horse should be mostly with Airbrush , but will check later in another thread ...
