Kingdom death pin up 28mm figurine

Post by Madmattmodels89 »

Hello guys I wanted to take a little break from the tank I'm building, so since this little jem showed up in the mail yesterday I took on building it

Image

It's one figure from kingdom death it's resin and very (very!) small.

Here how it looks builded (hope it's not too risqué! If it is let me know)

Image

I will have to fill some minor gaps and the. Painting!

Her sister is still on her way!

More to come

Comments and criticism welcome

Disclosure! Any and all terms used for paint and model making being used are purely casual and not meant in any other way or context outside the modeling scene!

No seriously if they are too risqué please let me know I'll remove the tread!

I understand :thumb1:

Naah, I think the whole thing is utterly hilarious. I am the bad influence, it brings out the 10 year old in me. I shall behave myself now.

Alright fellas here some paint on them!

Primed with Ultimate primer added the medium skin tone and highlited it with basic skin tone. Sri brushed on the blue dress and then wash from Tamiya panel wash black. Still can't get around on how to paint the eyes at this scale! They so small!!

Anyway here

Can't see her fully as lighting is off a bit, but what I can see looks good :thumb2:
I don't envy you doing a female form, difficult to paint skin vs say a rough warrior covered in blood and dirt.
One of the figure painting books I have has a section about painting females and the thing I remember most is don't go overboard on makeup and lipstick......makes them look like tarts or clowns.
I will try and find that reference for ya

Base and her armour are dead on. Hair looks good, maybe some white highlights for light reflection..just a bit on the high spots
She does look like she has been wallowing around in a mud pit on her skin..that is the hard part, getting shading and subtle shadows in there without it all blending and "mudding" out. That is a problem in fine art water painting proper as well
Again, I am no expert at it either, but will happily tag on along the journey for both of us to learn more
