1/72 Portuguese Air Force P-47D-30 Thunderbolt - Reveal

Post by rodrant »

So here are my final reveal photos of my build of a Portuguese Air Force P-47D-30 in 1/72 scale , the kit is from Revell , beautifull detail for a 1/72 scale , horrible flash and excess plastic .

Painted with MrColor Super Metallic Silver , beautifull paint ...expensive but some of the nicest metallic color I use so far !

Not really my best job and not happy with the result due for the issues in the final steps of the build here :

, and also I lost the antena , and must replaced with some home made one ...but the issues were all my fault :-(

so here are the photos :

Yes Patrick , they were used after the war (the ones we ordered only arrived in the 50's ,and they become a transition between the Piston Engines to the new jets that come to replace them , the F-84 , we use 50 units , unfortunately not a single plane was kept .
I like the 'Jug' :-)

Amazing Job, meu caro amigo !!

I have the same will to built as many Brazilian Air Force (FAB) planes that I couuld....
Have already built a P-47D (Olive drab), F-80, Mirage IIIEBR, Mirage 2000C and F-5E.
Still to go: P-40N, P-47D (Aluminium) F-5EM (Modified), Super-Tucano, A-4 Skyhawk (Navy) and the JAS-39 Gripen (if it´s confirmed).
Only missing the bombers: Must buy a B-25 and a B-17...
Cheers
André

I like seeing these in the Portuguese colors. And you've done a great job finishing and weathering. A+ dude!
