"Desert Warrior"

Post by Mylightweight »

Hi Guys,

Well, I made it, been on the forum just under a year and have finished my first group build.

There isn't much "story" behind it only that it is set somewhere in Iraq. Its my first time making a proper diorama base, i used a picture frame with the glass removed, polystyrene ceiling tile in the gap and then covered it with clay, first time using air dry clay too, which was interesting.

I'll be the first to say that it could be improved, there are some craps in the clay that appeared after I had fixed the initial ones (hey ho), it also shrank away from the edges of the picture frame.

I probably should have edged the scene a better way but I'll work on that for next time.

The academy kit is fine, not quite up to Tamiya standards but ok.

Anyway, enjoy the pictures
