The first step complete. I forgot how nice Tamya kits are, its been so long since I built one. It's got weights to give the vehicle some heft.

Looks to be a completely superb kit.
Nicely chosen.
I've often wondered... Without workable tracks and suspension, what do you suppose the weights are for?

Hey Coen,
I've built many of Tamiya's 1/48 tanks and they pretty much all have some sort of metal weight too them- either Metal diecast lower hull, or metal plates like the ones above. Tamiya does this to add a weighty and heavy / sturdy feel. That is the only reason & I like it to be honest. A heavy model feels good in the hands

Sweet choice Budd! I have read that Tamiya's 1/48s are little gems. I too am getting a 1/48 Tamiya kit for the SIG.

Primer on, FriulModel tracks burnished with Ultimate burnishing liquid. No paint or pigments added to tracks yet. Also started the basics on the base I'm going to do.
