1/35 Academy late Jagdpanzer 38(t)

Post by LTmodelmaking »

Oh boy, another group build. Got a bit tired(wait for it) working on my LAV-A2. The tyres are a pain in my posterior. Never again will I use vinyl tyres.
So on to the kit. Not much to say. It looks nice in the box. We'll see if it builds as nice as it looks. "Hetzer's" been covered by plenty of modelers in this GB already so I won't delve into it's history. I'll talk about specific features during the build.
Let the build begin! :cheers2:

A little update. Kit has been wonderful to build so far.
This is where I'm a right now.

I added texture to the gun mantlet and a think I don't know the name of :?
Also removed the frong fenders that were moulded on the upper hull because I'll use PE fenders.

I tried adding bolt details to the gun matlet using some stretched sprue. Don't know if it'll show up after paint.

Did a little size comparison and it turns out Hetzer is a small vehicle. What a surprise

Bonus pic of my work desk. Is anyone else as disorganised as I am?

I like the look of the Hertzer, and that looks a nice kit.
You can run, but you'll only die tired!

That thing you didn't know the name of
It is probably called the Saukopf (pigs head) gunmantlet
If you mean the part that is on the barrel
You picked a nice kit to enter
A bit of a shame it doesn't come with some interior but the paint masks it has are a nice touch as disc camo scheme's can be a bit labour intensive to do
Good luck with the build and have fun
