Jagdpanzer IV/70 (V) Lang Sd.Kfz.162/1 Tamiya 1/35 - Dio ' Where are they ? ? '

Post by rodrant »

My Final reveal ,

:-) I change the name to 'Where are they ?' , maybe it is more accurate , my English ....

About the kit ...again Tamiya kit ...no issues , a lot of parts and detail , all fits perfectly , figures are very nice ! again a great OOB build .Only point that I mention in the thread ...can't understand why all the interior gun mechanism and metal barrel is an Aftermarket kit from Tamiya ... well it is more 10/15 € to add to the about 40/45 € of the base kit ...must say that the gun barrel in plastic i made from only one piece , and to have the gun fully moveable and using the aftermarket kit of the detailed gun ( that is very nice I must mention) you can't place the figures ...so your decision , and see that before you buy it , or use it like I did , in a diorama , and no moves, still you can see the interior detail , and that is nice .

I'm not going to place here a long text , but I advice you to check this link :

http://www.tanks-encyclopedia.com/ww2/n ... zer-IV.php

it is very nice and have some great color schemes for the Jagdpanzers and info on their history , advice everybody to go there , some color schemes are great ..IT makes me wish to buy another and make another in a different scheme ...maybe one of this days ...

My diorama , and I always have thinked in making it simple , depict an interaction between a PAnzergrenadier and the tank crew in order to inform a possible enemy target , it is in WEstern Europe in winter , and decided to have some snow , but to depict the tank without a winter paint ...so my option to depict a scene where maybe there are the first 1944 snows before the Ardennes ...well I didn' get too worry on Historic backgroud ..really enjoy making this , still missed soem details ... you may notice that the interior rubber whells aren't painted , missed that ...must be more patient , but I liked the end result nevertheless !

Enough talk , my Reveal pictures :

So Hans ...where are they ?

Excellent work Antonio!
That looks like sea foam, I love that you used it for the live camouflage.
I really like that infantry figure, he's superb.
Nice work with the mud too.

Thank you Mike ! Yes it is sea foam , I was looking for some tiny bits in the box and thought it was nice to place them to depict the camouflage that the crews do in terrain ! Lot more stuff learned , like more and more to do dioramas ! thank you for the comments buddy !
