Chief Getz a Hetzer

Post by chief5437 »

Hi fellas :th:

This will be my entry to the Hunter sig.

Image

It's a special edition, but is just this kit, with a few extra bits.

So I'll be using all the stock parts to build the German version. Sadly it doesn't include the paint masks you get in the original release, but I have a plan!

Here's the virgin sprues, ready for some action!

That's all for now, good luck :thumb2: :cheers2:

Great choice of kit. One question though is the drawing on the box the only paint reference with that kit? Thanks! :th:

It is with this particular boxing. But you get the sprues from the main kit, so you can build the normal version, just lacking the paint masks and decals. Decals are easily replaced from spares, just need to be creative with the paint scheme! HTH :th:

Hi guys :th:

Thought I'd better get round to an update!

Assembly was straightforward, no issues at all.

I downloaded the instructions from the original kit to see how the gun went together. Now we're ready for some paint! :thumb2:

Green/yellow/brown applied, a mask set would be good, but I couldn't justify the cost. Looks a bit rough here, but it'll be toned down later. And doesn't seem to be so bad in real life, lol!

Found some spare decals, than gloss coated, ready for a wash.

That's it for now, till it dries. Might have to start something else!

Thanks for looking fellas :cheers2: :th:
