1/48 Hasegawa Hawker Typhoon 1B Cardoor

Post by jgaudon34 »

I love the Tiffy. I picked this up off eBay a few years ago and finally finished it this past week.
I think I like the gray background better.

My best one is my next one.

Super job. How did you mask the camo.

Thanks avgas,
I would have used blue sticky tack for the camo..

Beautiful aircraft anyway - but you've done that model proud.

How did you get the definition in the lines? Was it a wash or pre-shade?

Hey Dredd,
I did some pre-shading for blended fade around panel lines, and then sludge wash while still glossy for the depth of the lines after the decals.
Covered it with a satin varnish at the end.

I prefer recessed lines on kits, raised lines only give you the pre/post shading option.

Thanks for looking!
