Check out Paul's comprehensive tutorial that he did for eModels on YouTube. It's a good place to start. Try not to get too deep into having to "do this" or "do that" keep it pretty vanilla at first and have fun.

The Techniques guide Paul did for the forum is also a good series to watch
They are in the ISM section on the board index somewhere
They include just about everything to build a aircraft
