Center instrument console color
Hi. I'm hoping someone can help me out. I am building the Revell Bell 13h MASH helicopter. The instructions call out light grey. Can someone tell me a paint number that would match "light grey". There are many different shades and this doesn't help me much. I am an armor modeler and this is my first aircraft in years so I have no idea what shade it should be. I have access to Tamiya and Model Master brand paints. Also, would the instrument face of the console be flat black or this "light grey"? The instructions call out for "light grey" Any help would be greatly appreciated. Love the site BTW.

Thanks fellas. That does help me . I'll get some in progress pics up ASAP. Building aircraft is way out of my comfort zone, but learning new skills is what keeps the hobby fresh. Again, thank you for the help!

I'd be tempted to go with FS 36492 or 36495 (Model Masters Light Grey, same number) as a default choice. Given when this helicopter saw service the only people who could give you a truly precise answer would be Bell Helicopter, and I'd suspect even they would have trouble giving you an exact color equivalency.
There are a ton of reference images online. Use the search phrase "Bell 47 cockpit" in Google.
