I forgot something.
This is my ell cheapo paintbooth but it works very well.
I did pick a kitchen extractor with a lot off suction to counter the fact it is above the table.
I had to have something big as the Yamato is more than a meter long.

And my models, the 4 tanks up front and on top are my recent builds the rest is more than 25 years old.
I had to throw away a lot of models, they did not survive moving 2 times and a cleaning mother when I still lived with the parents.

OK, just cleared/reclaimed the corner of the front room. The table was previously used as a dumping ground for anything and everything. This will be the build corner. Tomorrow (maybe) I'll try and sort a paint corner in the bedroom, next to the window so as I can vent out the fumes etc.

Image

Image

I'll post the paint corner as soon as its presentable, with all the new gear I've certainly got the motivation.

Jase.

Did a bit of upgrading on my bench last weekend. Some before and after pics.

Painting area before. Small storage with peg board.
Image

After replacing 28" of peg board with 7 feet of slatwall.
Image

Prep area before
Image

And after (I'm casting a bunch of knobs and switch housings for a friends flight simulator)
Image

And my actual work area
Image

Still needs more light though. Seems a bit too dark most days as its in a basement. Also need to build me a spray booth soon.

The structure has an interesting shape...care to elaborate.....course the most interesting is the lovely space and what's in it.

You are right about the smell, no dirty clothes here
Due to the limited spaced, i ended up with a nice and cozy workplace.

And for not having been to a Dutch residential area, you could always take a vacation in Holland. :welcome: :D

You left the bar code sticker on the table leg everything is ruined, ruined! Oh my OCD. Seriously though a very cool area and the 109 is coming along very nicely (please don't say it's finished  ).

Well, finally 6 months after moving, I have got the new area set up.
I ordered a 3m kitchen top and 3 legs, and finally got it up today. I just need to get rid of the rubbish (dump closed today), a new chair, a shelf and a good lamp and I'm away
I thought 3m might be to long, but it is only just big enough!

DId a tidy up since ive expanded my paint collection (mainly Gunze) and weathering (MIG/etc) and knicked a spare toolchest from my workshop and put on my hobby bench...needed some more shelves too so knocked that up this morning while the kids played in the backyard (Im playing Mr Mum at the moment):
The big box under the bench also holds my half dozen or so 1/32 Tamiya kits:

I'm new to this community and a returning modeler from a 30+ year hiatus. I work in the very stressful world of IT in particular data storage, so I use modeling as a stress relief, until I have to deal with photo etch

This is my current area. I'd like to keep it a bit tidier, but its summer and I rather spend the time with the kiddos instead of cleaning..

Simracing setup? I used to be a simracer myself. I used to play Nascar 2003. Still have my wheel and such but dont have a way to hook my desktop up wired in instaed of wireless. Not a stable connection with wireless for racing online.

iRacing - Road courses mostly. I stick to Mazda Cup and Skip Barber. Also use rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa every once in while. I don't sim race that much anymore, just on occasion when the family is not at home.
